We are sad to announce that Wendy Richards died on 13th February 2025.

Passionate about horses, a great fundraiser for equine charities, and a stalwart of the BDS for very many years, Wendy, and her late husband Jim, were generous supporters and familiar faces at events in the BDS Dorset & South Wiltshire Area, and many further afield.

Wendy was a superb organiser of events, from her pony (beetle) drive evenings, quizzes, suppers, New Year’s Day dog walks, to her legendary treasure hunts, where her clues never failed to have everyone scratching their heads! Over the years hundreds of us have enjoyed their hospitality at Chilbridge Farm.

We send our heartfelt condolences to all of Wendy’s family. She will be much missed by many.

Wendy’s funeral will take place on Thursday 6th March, at 1pm, at Poole Crematorium.
